Middle School Math Teacher Job Description

We are adding one grade level per year and will be serving students in 4K through 8th grade next school year. In the near future, we will also be applying for expansion of our charter to serve students in high school beginning in the 23-24 school year.

General Purpose: Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages CCA students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
Main Job Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences with Eureka Math and Core Virtues Curriculum
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
Administer school-wide assessments and use data to inform instruction
Identify and select instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs
Use relevant educational and/or assistive technology to support instruction
Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
Grade classwork, tests, and assignments and provide appropriate feedback
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies, and school regulations
Prepare required reports as requested by the school administration
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
Maintain discipline following the directions and disciplinary systems of the school
Participate in department and school meetings, parent meetings, and professional development
Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs
Keep updated with developments in the subject area, teaching resources, and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
Adhere to CCA school policies and procedures
Job Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in elementary education, mathematics, or related field
South Carolina State Certification
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in education or related field;
